THE QUICK-START GUIDE
How to play
Your quick start · VECTRAC 2000 · Vectrex
Your mission Weave through traffic and pass the required number of cars before time runs out. You begin with five cars; crashes or an unfinished stage cost one car.
Choose your controls
At the title screen, press button 1 to play with on-screen labels or button 2 without labels. Button 4 selects paddle mode.
Start driving
At READY, press button 4 to begin or retry. On the standard controller, steer left and right, push up to accelerate and down to decelerate.
Pass the target
Avoid traffic and watch the remaining time and car target. Stage 1: 35 cars in 45 seconds. Stage 2: 65 cars in 35 seconds. Stage 3: 40 cars in 25 seconds.

Vectrex
- Joystick left/right: steer.
- Joystick up: accelerate.
- Joystick down: decelerate.
- Title button 1: labels; button 2: no labels; button 4: paddle mode.

Edition note Standalone original VECTRACE from 2000; VABOOM is not included. The preserved 3976-byte ROM is supplied in pkg-001. Reconstructed assembly matches its bytes; the historical handwritten source was not recovered.
Emulator setup Use the original Vectrex controller mapping. The pkg-001 screenshots and clips demonstrate standard-controller play; physical-console acceptance remains pending.
Emulator keys depend on your button mapping. These are console controls, not claims of real-hardware testing.
